Description

Sh 2-86 is an emission nebula located in the stellar association Vulpecula OB1, in the Orion Arm of our galaxy. It has an angular size of 20 'of arc. At its center is the open cluster NGC6823, composed of young blue stars with a size of 4 'of arc. Also, the small reflection nebula NGC6820, only one minute of arc. However, NGC6820 can also refer to the whole area of ​​nebulosity from Sh 2-86.The photograph was taken on six different nights with poor seeing , between September 9 and 20. Almost 50% of the shots were discarded, finally using:L (IDAS LPS P-2): 38 x 120s (76m), R: 31 x 180s (93m), G: 34 x 180s (102m), B: 22 x 180s (66m), Ha: 25 x 300s (125m)The luminance was constructed with 50% L channel, 20% red and 30% Ha. No Ha was used in the color composition.The final image is 6013 x 3808 pixels, covering 86 'x 54' of arc.
